Once upon a time, a Portuguese man named Wenceslau de Moraes, had discovered and passionate for Japan. He left the Navy and passes the diplomat in Japan, lived the last 30 years as a Japanese writing several works include the Cult of the Tea which published for more than 100 years ago.

The show for Lisbon Marionette Museum for the end of this year will be a combination of 2 original stories about hidden passion between Portuguese and Japanese behind the art and culture at the time of Discovery ( 16century ). Francisco Xavier, Mendes Pinto e.t.c. are the little puppet caracteres who introduced the western culture to Japanese.

I made a short performance "Sr.Japoneira" it was inspired by the man who produces pure camellia oil from the camellia island, Izu-oshima. I really wanted show it in that island, before the show in Portugal. Go and catch the plane and the ship to make the show!

Haiku is a short form of traditional Japanese poetry. We have 5 artists/poets for that poetry reading & performance ( Beniko ) and give mini workshop of HAIKU, about the rules and the sense of Japanese poetry Haiku, taught by Yoko Fujiwara
